At White Rose Sanctuary, we are committed to ensuring that no dog is left behind. We understand the need for a safe haven for dogs with severe behavior and medical issues, and we strive to be that place. These dogs simply require more time, training, and care before they can be adopted into loving homes. While it may take a few weeks to months before we deem them ready, we believe in setting our dogs and their adopters up for success. We have witnessed these dogs transform into the most amazing, loyal pets we have ever seen. Sadly, many of them do not make it out of the shelter, which is why we are working tirelessly to change that. Our focus is on saving the severe cases that require time and attention because we firmly believe that these dogs are worth it. Moreover, there is a significant gap in rescues that are equipped to handle these challenging cases. We are also dedicated to putting an end to the abuse and neglect that these dogs have endured. Join us in our mission to provide a second chance, and together, let’s build a more compassionate world for dogs in need.

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) recently received a stray that had a red itchy, and scabbing muzzle. With some medications and prescription dog food, HSPPR was able to begin the healing process.
